小型結び
Small Bow Knot
This is a way to tie a Bow-knot smaller. A typical bow tie has a horizontal width of about 12cm[4.7inch] as standard, but a Small-bow-knot is about 9cm[3.5inch]. In order to tie the horizontal width of bow tie smaller, you can either make a small knot, or adjust the length of the belt part to shorten the width. Historically, British former Prime Minister Churchill’s trademark was the contrast of his physique and his small bow tie style.

｢小型結び｣は蝶結びをより小さく結ぶ方法です。世の中で普及している蝶ネクタイは、水平幅が約12cm程が標準的ですが、小型結びは約9cmが目安です。水平幅を小さく結ぶためには、小型結びをする以外にも、ベルト部分の長さを調節して短くしてしまう方法があります。歴史的には英国の元首相チャーチルは、恰幅良い体型に小さなボウタイ姿がトレードマークでした。
